COMPOSURE
An engagement photographer and a bride-to-be are stuck together when the groom-to-be doesn't show up to their photoshoot.
Composure played at Dances with Films NY, Dances with Films LA, Wicked Queer, The Anchorage International Film Festival, the Way OUT West Film Fest, and the Mardi Gras Film Festival.
Sad Orangutans Rob a Bank
Sad Orangs is a short film about a guy who, when pushed to the brink of introspection, decides to throw his energies into the craziest thing he can think of. Also he’s an Orangutan.
It played at Hollyshorts, The Hollywood Comedy Festival, The New York No Limits Festival, The Brainwash Drive-in Festival, and the Not Film Festival.
The Cluster
The Cluster, a documentary I directed, shot and edited, was used by Impact Fifth Ward and Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee as an introduction to advocacy efforts around Creosote contamination in Houston. It received a special commendation from The Houston Cinema Arts Festival.
HIGH NOON
Six months after their breakup, Jess prepares to meet up with her ex for one last fight.
My first script with my writing partner Carrie Adams played at The Rhode Island Flickers Film Fest, The Rio LGBTQIA+ Festival, and The Lovers Film Fest.
Glow UP
Glow Up is a music video shot on a single roll of Super 8 film with all cutting in camera. I approached a friend of mine who wears drag to a local Houston club about doing a documentary on him getting into his outfit. I wanted it to feel personal and nostalgic, and to commemorate my re-introduction as a queer filmmaker (I am a recently out non-binary person). The relationship between me and the subject combined with the pressure of hearing the super 8 run through the camera created something that I feel is really special. Glow Up also played at the Admit One: Analog Film Showcase in Houston.
The Young DIVORCÉE
A woman attempts to sign her divorce papers. The first in the trilogy that includes High Noon and Composure.
